You hate to say I told you so!!!!

I got these pictures in an email today and had to share. You know how you always tell your kids not to run with a fork/knife/scissors well this is why!!! The email said this little boy was just fine but very lucky. I showed it to Hunter and I guarantee he won't ever be running with anything sharp in the near future!

So help me god......

Now I know that I am much the minority in the area but I have to mention how my heart and mind is filled with hope since President Obama's election. I know you can't expect one man to change everything but I feel a sense of pride and optimism. I just wanted to remember this past week in history and the link below has some amazing pictures of the Inauguration. I hope in 4 years that I am just as excited about who our president is as I do at this moment!

From St. George to Denver!

well our lives have been a whirlwind since Christmas. We decided a few days after Christmas to go to St. George with a few friends for the week. It was great. We shot guns up in the mountains, golfed (Hunt got new clubs for Christmas), swam, shopped, and relaxed. I included a few pictures from that. Then 3 days after we got home I flew off to Denver for a Pampered Chef Leadership convention. I had a few consultants in my downline come and met up with several friends. It is always great for my business to go to these trainings. Its helpful for my selling knowledge as well as training my consultants (I have 22 now)! Plus the best part is that they gave us a raise! Just when people are getting laid of PC dishes out even more money! I truely have the best job!
So 2 other highlights of the trip were we went to the club Coyote Ugly (some of the girls were dying to go) so of course I didn't take my ID because I didn't plan to go anywhere that I would have needed it. So when we walk in the of course ask for it and this huge bouncer picks me up and says anyone who doesn't have ID has to dance on the bar so this is the picture of my shaking my huge booty with all of the cute dancers on the bar. I guess I still have it! I have to say its way more fun to be sober watching all the fools who aren't!

Then the best highlight was that I went to see Josh Pack and family. Many of you know him (his blog is linked to mine) and about his spine injury. Well they are only 10 minutes from my hotel so I extended my trip a day to spend some time with them. I got to love our cute Marne (Josh's sister who is my kids favorite babysitter) and share some laughs with the whole family. I can't imagine being stuck in a hospital bed all day everyday but if anyone's faith and family bond can get them through this their families can!

One for the record books!

I simply had to put a picture of this on my blog since I don't think we will ever see gas go this low again. I was looking in Hunter's baby book the other day and when he was born 6 years ago gas was $1.45 a gallon. I have to say the high gas prices really had me stretching my checkbook to the max just like everyone else. I started thinking every time I went to town how much it was costing me to get there and back.

With the economy the way it is I know that the prophet was encouraging us to all get a food storage and get out of debt for a reason. It makes me feel good to know that when I look in my storage room I at least will have something to eat even if I can't drive anywhere!

It's Great to be the big sister!

I have added a couple of postings today so be sure to check them out!

I just had to put this picture up of my cute siblings. This was taken at Hunters b-day (I am not quite sure where I am)

Let me tell you why I am lucky to be the oldest sister of this crew.

Shanae (18) far left 1st off is just gorgeous. When she was a little girl she looked so much like me. She is kind, compassionate a ball of fun and is turning into a beautiful young woman!
James (26) is the only boy of all us girls. He was the cutest little fart when he was little we use to dress that kid up like a girl all the time. He reminds me so much of Jim Carey. He has the heart of gold but is always the comedian. He is a Captain in the US Army and he and his wife are expecting their 1st baby in May.

Jen (27) is only 17 months younger than me. She has always been so photogenic. She is gracious and kind and so sweet she could give you cavities. She would give you the shirt off of her back if you asked her for it. She is the most amazing mother and always surprises me with her patience. She is a stay at home working mom and a read hot real estate agent (anyone buying or selling a home?)

Misty (14) the baby of our family. She is 15 years younger than me and I was so lucky to get to grow up with her. She taught me so much on how to me a mother! She is so fashionable, I love to see what new hair style of clothes fashion she is going to have next. She is a great aunt to all the little nieces and nephews and loves them to pieces!

Christmas Festivities

Well Christmas this year was a whirlwind as usual. We went down to Salt Lake on the 23rd and went for Family pictures with all the Tippets on Christmas eve (my brother James is here on leave only for 2 weeks) Then it was the Annual Tippets Christmas party with all of my dads family. Then we dash home to try and get our kids to bed at a decent time. (Aren't they cute int heir matching jammies?!?!) We set up all of santas gifts upstairs (santa doesn't wrap at our house) and we told Hunter that he couldn't come upstairs until we woke up so we could all see the loot together. Justin stayed up till 4am putting together the air hockey table the his mom gave us and at 7am we hear Hunter screaming from the bottom up of the stairs MOM, DAD!!!! Aspen slept through the whole morning wich was just fine with me. The kids were so excited for their presents. Hunter got a wakeboard and a sled that will fit 2 (he asked santa for a sled that him and his brother could both ride), Ridge got a little tykes play house/kitchen set (I know he is a boy but he loves to play pretend and he thinks it is awesome) and Aspen got bedding for her crib. My wonderful husband bought me a BOSCH. I have been told by all of the amazing bread makers in my ward that you have to have a BOSCH to make great bread. That and Justin is sick of eating bread that is more like pound cake!
That evening we went to Justin's moms and the kids got spoiled there with lots of toys and clothes plus she always makes the best Christmas Day food. Then the day after Christmas we went back to my parents and did presents there. The kids got even more presents (there was more than they ever needed this year) and us big kids got an Itouch which was a HIT! Michele makes an awesome snack/dip bar for us all to munch on and we played a Wii all night and then had a big sleep over!
It was so much fun crammed into 4 short days!
